Who we are

Material Measures is the publisher and operator of this website and its free concrete calculators at materialmeasures.com. You can reach us at contact@materialmeasures.com.

Your calculator inputs stay in your browser

Every calculation runs locally in the page. Your measurements, prices and bag yields are not transmitted to us, not stored on a server and not visible to us in any form. The site has no database or account system that could collect them.

What is stored on your device

Your region, measurement system and currency symbol are saved in your browser's local storage so the site opens the way you left it. That is a small preference record on your own device, readable only by this site, and it is not a cookie and not sent anywhere. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data settings.

If you use a shareable results link, your inputs are encoded in the URL itself. That means anyone you send the link to can see those numbers — which is the point of the feature — so take the same care you would with any link containing information you would rather keep private.

Server logs

Like almost every website, the hosting infrastructure that serves these pages may record standard technical request information such as IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser user-agent. That is a function of the hosting provider, used for delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. We do not build profiles from it and we do not combine it with anything else.

Web fonts

The site's text font is loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives standard request information such as your IP address and browser user-agent. We do not receive or control that data; see Google's own privacy policy for how it is handled.

Analytics

None. No analytics product is loaded, so no page-view, session or behavioural data is collected by us. Google AdSense reporting, once advertisements are shown, gives us only aggregated advertising performance figures.

First-party house promotion

Some pages show a promotion labelled "Advertisement" for KornaStone Digital, a web design and digital marketing business. It is a muted video served from this site's own hosting, plus a link to kornastonedigital.com. It loads no third-party scripts, sets no cookies and adds no tracking parameters to the link. If you choose to follow the link, you leave this site and KornaStone Digital's own privacy policy applies there.

Google AdSense

Every page loads the Google AdSense script for our publisher account (ca-pub-6478897009454681). Google Ireland Limited (for users in the UK, EEA and Switzerland) or Google LLC (elsewhere) provides this service. Having the code installed is not the same as showing advertisements: the site is awaiting AdSense approval, and no Google advertisements, advertising units or Auto Ads are currently displayed.

When the script loads, your browser connects to Google's servers, so Google receives information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the page you are viewing and the referring page. Google may also store or read cookies and similar identifiers. Once advertisements are shown, Google and its partners may use this information to serve, personalise (where you consent), limit and measure advertisements and to prevent fraud. Google decides how this data is processed; we do not receive it in a form that identifies you.

Consent and your choices

Visitors from the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland are shown Google's consent message, which we publish through AdSense Privacy & Messaging. It asks whether you agree to Google using cookies and personal data for advertising. Where you decline personalised advertising, any advertisements shown would be non-personalised or limited. To change your choice, use the privacy or cookie settings link provided by Google's consent message where it appears, or clear this site's cookies so the message is shown again. If you email us, we receive your address and your message. We use them to reply and for nothing else. We do not add you to any list and do not share your message with third parties.

Your rights

Data protection law in the UK, the EU and Ireland, and comparable law in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, gives you rights over personal data held about you — typically access, correction, deletion and objection. Since we hold no personal data beyond any email you choose to send us, the practical position for us is that there is almost nothing to request. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it. For data processed by Google through AdSense, use the consent choices above or contact Google through its privacy policy.

Children

This is a general-purpose construction tool. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If the site's behaviour changes — advertising, analytics or anything else that processes data — this page will be updated to describe the new position before the change goes live, rather than afterwards.
