Affiliate Disclosure

The current position

This site contains no affiliate links. Nothing on any page earns a commission, and no product is recommended in exchange for payment. The component that would display product recommendations is switched off and renders nothing at all.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link to a retailer that pays the referring site a small commission if you buy something after clicking it. The price you pay is normally unchanged. The problem with affiliate links is not the commission itself — it is the quiet incentive to recommend whatever pays best rather than whatever is best.

Rules if affiliate links are ever introduced

• Every affiliate placement will be visibly labelled where it appears, not only here.
• Affiliate links will carry the sponsored nofollow relationship required by search engines.
• No affiliate link will ever be placed inside a calculator's controls or results, where a click could be mistaken for part of the calculation.
• No product will be described as recommended, best or approved unless that judgement is explained and would stand without the commission.
• Bag yields, prices and quantities will continue to come from you and from manufacturer packaging, never from a retailer's marketing.
• This page will be updated to name the programmes involved before anything goes live.

No fake reviews or testimonials

This site publishes no product reviews, star ratings, testimonials or user counts. If you ever see such a thing here, it will be because a real one exists and its basis is explained.

Advertising is separate

Some pages show a promotion labelled "Advertisement" for KornaStone Digital, a web design and digital marketing business. It is a first-party house promotion, not an affiliate link: its link is marked as sponsored and carries no commission tracking. Third-party advertising networks are not enabled. Advertising is covered by the privacy policy and cookie policy rather than this page.
